About This Guide

Introduction
This installation and operation guide applies to the Model DPC2434 and the Model
EPC2434 Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Wireless Home Gateways. The
DPC2434 and EPC2434 are equipped with an embedded multimedia terminal
adapter (EMTA) that includes two RJ-11 telephone ports supporting two-line voice
services, a 10/100BaseT Ethernet port, and a USB 2.0 port for high-speed data
connectivity.
The DPC2434 is compatible with the following specifications:
Data Over Cable System Interface Specifications (DOCSIS) 2.0, 1.1, 1.0

PacketCable 1.5 and 1.0

CableHome 1.1

The EPC2434 is designed for the following specifications:
EuroDOCSIS 2.0, 1.1

EuroPacketCable 1.0

CableHome 1.1


Note: This guide does not contain installation procedures for cable modem headend
equipment. Consult the documentation supplied with your equipment for the
correct installation procedures.
