5. Plug one end of another line cord (not supplied) into the
jack on the other Caller ID module.

6. Plug the other end of the cord into either the unused jack
on the 2-line, 3-way jack.
Answering Machine Connection
1. Disconnect the phone line cord between the answering
machine and phone line from the answering machine's
jack, then plug it into the Caller ID module's
2. Plug one end of the supplied line cord into the Caller ID
module's jack.
PHONE
3. Plug the cord's other end into the answering machine's
jack.
4. Set your answering machine to answer after two or more
rings. This gives the Caller ID time to record the call infor-
mation that the phone company sends between the first
and second rings.
