Preparation for remote installation to use
Advanced Video Redirection
Advanced Video Redirection (AVR) can be used with the iRMC S3 Web user
interface and the Management Blade Web user interface. This section
describes how to prepare for using the Web user interface for management
blades.

For using the iRMC S3 Web user interface, please refer to the "iRMC
S2/S3 - integrated Remote Management Controller" User's Guide
(Industry Standard Servers - Software - ServerView Suite - Out-Of-Band
Management on the ServerView Suite DVD 2).
1. The remote management terminal is connected to the network.
The remote control terminal (e.g. PC) is connected to a network that can
connect to the management blade.
2. Network configuration
Network settings for the remote management terminal, management blade
and iRMC S3.
a) Remote management terminal
Ê Setup a remote network management station, if necessary.
b) Management blade
Ê Start your Web browser on the remote control terminal and log on to
the Management Blade Web user interface.
For details of the Management Blade Web user interface, please
refer to the PRIMERGY BX400 Blade Server or PRIMERGY BX900
Blade Server manuals or the manual " ServerView Management
Blade S1 User Interface Description", chapter 4 "Web User
Interface".
Ê Network setting of the management blade (Management LAN)
From the navigation frame of the ManagementBlade Web user
interface, select each section: Setting - System Unit - Network Interface
- Management LAN.
Then set the network of the management blade on the "Ethernet" tab.
