Adding your Rhapsody account to Sonos
If you have a Rhapsody account, simply add the account information to Sonos and
you'll have instant access to Rhapsody from the Sonos Digital Music System.
1. Add your Rhapsody account information to Sonos by selecting
File>Preferences>Accounts>Add.
2. Select Rhapsody from the list of Account types.
3. Enter your Rhapsody username and password and click OK.
4. If you previously had a Rhapsody trial account in place, you will be asked if you
want to merge the information from your trial account into the new account. If
you select Yes, any playlists and content selections you saved to My Rhapsody
Library will be preserved under the new account.
5. Update your music index whenever you add new content by selecting Update
Music Index Now from the Music menu. Or you can schedule daily music index
updates (see 'Scheduling music index updates'.)
Using Rhapsody with UPnP
If you are using Rhapsody's desktop application to organize the music on your local
drive, your Sonos system can access Rhapsody's server using Universal Plug and Play
(UPnP). You should only use this method to access Rhapsody if you are using
Rhapsody's desktop application, or if you have multiple Rhapsody accounts active in
your household. Otherwise simply add your Rhapsody account information to
Sonos— see 'Adding your Rhapsody account to Sonos'.
To access Rhapsody's server using UPnP, make sure UPnP is enabled in the Rhapsody
desktop application so that the Sonos Digital Music System can recognize it and show
Rhapsody in your Music Library. This is a one-time preference setting. Remember—
your computer must be on in order to stream Rhapsody content if you are accessing
Rhapsody's server this way.
From Rhapsody:
1. Start RealRhapsody.
2. Click Tools>Preferences>Rhapsody Server (UPnP).
3. Click to check the Start UPnP Server Once Logged In box, and then click Start.
4. Click OK.
