1.5.1 Control Panel

6 switches and 8 LEDs are on the panel as shown below.

1.5.1.1 Switches

o Operation in normal mode
In normal mode, pressing panel switches executes following function;

-Alternates printing and non-printing status.
-Enables Micro Adjustment function, holding it down for 3 seconds.
-If pressed again in the above condition, Micro Adjustment function
is disabled.
-When no cut sheet/ CSF, load paper from CSF.
-When there is cut sheet/ CSF, eject paper.
-When no continuous paper, load continuous paper.
-When there is continuous paper, eject continuous paper to the
tractor waiting position.
-When Micro Adjust is enabled, execute micro feed backward.
(0.14mm (1/180 inch)) *1: See Figure 1-9, "Micro Feed".
-After paper feed; at TOF position, TOP adjustment is executed; at
TEAR OFF position, TEAR OFF position adjustment is executed; at
other positions, micro feed is executed.
-When no cut sheet/ CSF, load paper from CSF.
-When there is cut sheet/ CSF; if pressed short, start a new line; if
pressed for seconds, eject paper; if roll paper, start a new line.
-When no continuous paper, load continuous paper.
-When there is continuous paper; if pressed short, start a new line; if
pressed for seconds, start a new page.
-When Micro Adjust is enabled, execute micro feed forward.
(0.14mm (1/180 inch)) *2: See Figure 1-9, "Micro Feed".
-After paper feed; at TOF position, TOP adjustment is executed; at
TEAR OFF position, TEAR OFF position adjustment is executed; at
other positions, micro feed is executed.
-If cut sheet is selected, select CSF bin. (Including CARD)
-If continuous paper is not at TEAR OFF position, carry continuous
paper to the next page Tear-off position.
-If continuous paper is at TEAR OFF position, carry continuous
paper to the next page TOF position.
-If no continuous paper, TEAR OFF SW is invalid.
