Advanced System Setup Functions

Besides the Remote and Preferences menus described
previously, the System Setup menu provides other
functions, all of which are rarely, if ever, used.
To use the advanced system setup functions, follow
the steps below.
1. Press the MENU button to access the main menu.
2. Highlight the System Setup tab and press
SELECT.

Antenna Setup
3. Highlight the menu tab for the advanced function
you wish to use.
Install
The Antenna Setup pane offers three functions:
Function Description
Choose Satellites Allows you to select which satellites to
include in the list of available satellites;
refer to Section 9-6, "Changing the List
of Available Satellites" on page 9.10
Scan for Satellite Commands the antenna to search the
sky for available satellites; this function
is not recommended – use the Choose
Satellites function instead
Reload APG Reloads the complete program guide;
use this function to fix a guide problem
Signal
The Signal pane shows the strength of the satellite
signal. The higher the signal strength, the better the
reception.
