If you want to continue using a desktop app to store your contacts, calendar events, and
tasks—iCal and Address Book on the Mac, or desktop Outlook
on Windows—consider adopting this solution.
Section 2C: Transferring Data
Changes you make in your Facebook account on the web show up on your
phone. Contacts and calendar events you add or change on your phone,
however, do not automatically update your Facebook account on the web.

You don't have to go to Calendar to set up your account there—that's done
automatically using the credentials you entered in Contacts.
