HINTS FOR UNUSUAL EXPOSURE SITUATIONS

The compound dual CdS metering system in the Autoreflex-T3 is very
selective, and is generally not unduly affected by subject matter
outside its p r i m a r y exposure reading range. It is programmed to
obtain its primary exposure data from the main subject area. This is
deemed to be the lower center third of the total area. The peripheral
upper and marginal two thirds contributes in a lesser degree to the
compound exposure date. There are however a number of unusual
situations that require special handling.

Das Kompound-Zwillings-CdS-Belichtungsmessungssystem
Autoreflex-T3 ist äußerst selektiv und normalerweise nicht anfällig
auf Objekte außerhalb seines primären Belichtungsbereiches. Es ist so
programmiert, daß es seine primären Belichtungsdaten von dem
Bereich des Hauptmotivs gewinnt. Als dieser Bereich wird das mittlere
untere Drittel des Gesamtbereiches angenommen. Die zwei Drittel der
oberen Peripherie und des Randbereiches steuern in geringerem Maße
zu dem zusammengesetzten Belichtungswert bei. Es gibt allerdings
eine Reihe von ungewöhnlichen Situationen, die besondere Bedienung
verlangen.

très sélectif, et n'est généralement pas affecté par les objets q u i sont

obtenir les informations primaires sur l'exposition autour de l'objet
principal visé. Ceci vise à descendre le centre de visée d'un tiers de la
largeur de la zone. La partie périphérique supérieure et les deux tiers
de la largeur entrent en ligne de compte à des degrés moindres pour
déterminer les données d'exposition. Cependant, il y a un certain
nombre de cas ou conditions exceptionnels qui demande un manie-
ment particulier.
TIPS FÖR OVANLIGA EXPONERINGSSITUATIONER
Mätsystemet med dubbla CdS cellgrupper i Autoreflcx-T3 är mycket
selektivt och påverkas vanligtvis inte av ljusförhållanden etc liggande,
utanför det primära mätområdet. Systemet är programmerat så a t t
det erhåller sina primära exponeringsdata från huvudmotivområdet.
Detta är den lägre centerdelen, ungefär en tredjedel av hela området.
Den perifera övre delen, a l l t s å de marginella tråtredjedelarna bidrar i
mindre utsträckning till de samlade exponeringsdata. Emellertid finns
det några ovanliga situationer som erfordrar specialingripande.

Against-the-Light Shots: In such situations
the light can shine directly into the camera
and adversely affect readings for the main
portion of the subject. In most cases tem-
porarily changing the film speed setting to a
value one-half (1/2) that of the actual film
speed will give an extra s t o p
correct t h e situation. In e x t r e m e
the regular film speed but move t h e camera
in close to read the important subject areas.
After taking a reading, depress
Release Button partially, which will lock the
meter needle at the close-up reading; move
back, and then depress the Shutter Release
Button the rest of the way to make the
exposure.
Very Light or Dark Backgrounds: When a
small light subject is against a large dark
background, the meter may read the entire
area as a dark subject and overexpose the
main subject Conversely, with a small dark
subject against a large light background, the
meter may read t h e e n t i r e area sa a light
subject and underexpose t h e main subject.
In this case, a close-up reading as described
under "Against-the-Light Shots" can be
found helpful.
NOTE: Should you temporarily change the
ASA setting to get more exposure in back-
lighted situations, do not forget to reset
your meter to the normal rating for regular
shots.
