HOW TO USE THE SCHWINN IC BIKE

n Dismounting the unit
FIG.8
WARNING! The flywheel momentum of the Schwinn IC Bike will
keep the pedals turning even after the rider stops pedaling or
the rider's feet slip off. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISMOUNT THE
BIKE OR REMOVE YOUR FEET FROM THE PEDALS UNTIL BOTH
THE PEDALS AND THE FLYWHEEL HAVE COMPLETELY STOPPED.
Turn the resistance knob clockwise until the flywheel stops, or
pull up on the resistance knob for quicker stopping. Failure to
follow these instructions may lead to loss of control and serious
personal injury.
There are four ways to stop the Schwinn IC Bike pedals.
1. Pedal slower until you come to a complete stop.
2. Increase the resistance by turning the resistance adjustment
control clockwise until you come to a complete stop.
3. Engage emergency brake by simply pressing DOWN firmly on
the red brake lever that extends from the resistance adjustment
knob (Fig. 8). Continue applying pressure until the wheel has come
to a complete stop..
NOTE: The Schwinn Smart Release™ system feature is standard
only on the Schwinn IC Elite. Please verify that your exercise bike
has this feature before utilizing stopping method #4.
4. Apply back pressure to the pedals and the Smart Release ™
system will activate. Continue applying pressure until both the
pedals and the flywheel come to a complete stop.
