Purpose Operation test/check
Function Used to set the specifications for operations in case
(Purpose) of communication trouble between the host
computer and MODEM (machine side). (When
communication trouble occurs between the host
computer MODEM and the machine, the self diag
display (U7-00) is printed and setting for inhibition of
print or not is made.)

Purpose Setting
Function Used to enter the machine tag No. (This function
(Purpose) allows to check the tag No. of the machine with the
host computer.)

Operation/ 1. When entering the tag No. newly or changing
Procedure the tag No., enter the value (max. 8 digits) with
the 10-key. The entered number is displayed in
the column of "NEW"
2. Press the [SET] key. The new tag No. entered in procedure 1
is set. It is advisable to enter the machine's serial No. for
machine management and servicing.
Note: To perform this setting, the host computer and the machine
must be connected through MODEM.
