DTMF Tones

You can use your phone to send DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency)
tones. This feature can be used for a variety of purposes, such as
banking by phone or controlling an answering machine.

Automatic DTMF

You can send DTMF tones during a call. You can send the characters

0 - 9,

as DTMF tones by pressing the corresponding keys.

The DTMF Pause Function

If you wish to send a code, for example your personal access number, it
might be helpful to use the pause function. Before you make the call,
enter both the phone number and the code, separated by a pause
character.

How to Make a Call and Send a Code

Enter the required phone number.
Select the
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
Press YES.
Enter a pause character by pressing YES or by holding down
letter 'p' appears in the display.
Enter the code you wish to send. The code can be a combination of
the digits 0 – 9 and the characters
Press YES to make the call.
When the call has been connected, the phone number disappears from
the display. The code is sent automatically, character by character, after
a short delay. The message Sending is displayed while the code is being
sent.
How to Use Several Pauses
It is possible to enter several pauses. For example:

Pre-programmed DTMF Signalling

You can store a code in the phone book in the same way as you store a

The maximum number of characters that you can store in the card
memory depends on your SIM card. In the phone memory you can store
up to 80 characters.

Call the required phone number and wait until the call has been
connected.
Recall the code from the phone book.
Press YES to send the code.
The characters are sent one by one. In the meantime the message
Sending is displayed.

pause character in the phone book.
Recall the phone number and the code from the phone book.
Press YES to make the call.
When the call is connected, the code is sent automatically after 3
seconds.
