Installing the Flush-Mount Housing
After you have prepared the dashboard and have installed the cables through the rubber cable grommet, install the flush-mount housing in the
dashboard.
1. Route the cables from the grommet in back of the flush-mount housing through the opening you cut in the dashboard.
2. Place the housing into the opening you cut in the dashboard.
3. Use the included M3.5 screws to secure the housing to the dashboard.
4. Snap the decorative faceplate into place on the front of the housing.
Inserting the GPSMAP 600 Series Device into the Flush-Mount Housing
1. Tilt the mounting bracket in the flush-mount housing forward. You may need to push the eject button at the top of the flush-mount housing.
2. Flip up the locking tab on top of the mounting bracket.
3. Fit the bottom of the GPSMAP 600 series device into the mounting-bracket cradle.
4. Tilt the device back into the mounting bracket until it stops.
5. Flip down the locking tab to hold the device in the mounting bracket.

6. Connect any additional cables to the back of the device.
7. Tilt the mounting bracket back into the flush-mount housing. The device is secured in the housing with an audible click.
notiCe: Before placing the GPSMAP 600 series device in the mounting bracket, ensure that all metal contacts on the device, the mounting bracket,
and any connectors are dry to avoid equipment damage.
notiCe: Place the protective cover over the housing when the device is not in use to prevent water and sun-related damage.
