    Recommended fuel: This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline intended for automotive use. Mix Homelite Premium Exact Mix lubricant with gasoline according to the instructions on the package. If Premium Exact Mix lubricant is not available, use a high quality syn- thetic 2-cycle engine lubricant, mixed at 2.6 oz.

    FILLINg TANK  Clean surface around fuel cap to prevent contami- nation.  Set trimmer on its side so that the spout points up.  Loosen fuel cap slowly. Rest the cap on a clean sur- face.  Carefully pour fuel into the tank. Avoid spillage.

    To remove the spool retainer: Turn the spool retainer counterclockwise for MightyLite 26CS. Turn the spool retainer clockwise for MightyLite 26SS.  Remove the empty spool from the string head. Keep the spring attached to the spool. Page 8 — English...

    To remove the spool retainer: Turn the spool retainer counterclockwise for MightyLite 26CS. Turn the spool retainer clockwise for MightyLite 26SS.  Remove the spool from the string head. NOTE: Keep the spring attached to the spool. Remove any old string remaining on the spool.

    If primer bulb fills, engine may be flooded, proceed to next item. Remove spark plug, turn trimmer so spark plug hole is aimed at the ground. Rotate the choke dial to “RUN” posi- tion and pull starter cord 10 to 15 times.

    String is tangled on spool. Engine speed is too slow. Screw threads are dirty or damaged. Cutting tall grass at ground level. Operating trimmer at part throttle.
