n Conserve water by using power blowers instead of hoses
for many lawn and garden applications, including areas
such as gutters, screens, patios, grills, porches, and
gardens.
n Watch out for children, pets, open windows, or freshly
washed cars, and blow debris safely away.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical Homelite replacement
parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or
cause product damage.
WARNING:
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side
shields during power tool operation or when blowing
dust. If operation is dusty, also wear a dust mask.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal
injury.
LUBRICATION
All of the bearings in this tool are lubricated with a sufficient
amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the unit under
normal operating conditions. Therefore, no further lubrication
is required.
OPERATION
n Use the nozzle for larger volume, so the air stream can
work close to the ground.
n After using blowers or other equipment, CLEAN UP!
Dispose of debris properly.

MAINTENANCE

REPLACING AND CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
See Figure 11.
For proper performance and long life, keep air filter clean.
n Pivot the air filter cover down by pushing down on the
latch with your thumb while gently pulling on the cover.
n Remove the filter. Clean it in warm soapy water. Rinse
and let dry completely. For best performance, replace
annually.
n Install the filter. Pivot the cover into place ensuring the
latch snaps and latches into place.
