Using the foot plate hand hold and the base handle located at the
rear of the personal transporter, lift the personal transporter off
of the ground and transfer the personal transporter up or down
the stairs.

The personal transporter should not be lowered until the last
stair has been negotiated and the personal transporter has been
carried away from the stairway.
