6.3 Troubleshooting

Maximum power generation is considered to be approximately 70 to 80% of the PV capacity, at most. (Varies by area.
The level can be even lower when areas are in shadow or due to installation conditions.)
When the ambient temperature around the unit is high, output power can drop sharply. Please consult with the sales
office from which the PV inverter was purchased.
If the PV inverter fails to activate, the Error lamp is on, or error messages are displayed, refer to the table below and implement the recommended action.

If, even after the above actions have been taken, the error persists, perform the operation below and then contact the sales office for repair or inspection.
Set the DC disconnector at the bottom of the PV inverter to OFF ( ).
Set the AC disconnector or GFCI to OFF.
Cause
Nothing will appear in the display when
irradiation is low or during night hours.
Is the DC disconnector at the
bottom of the PV inverter set to
OFF( )?
Was there a blackout?
Was it a blackout?
Is the externally attached AC
disconnector or GFCI set to
OFF?
Safety device is activated.
In such a case, an earth fault
may have occurred at the PV
modules or cables.
The insulation resistance of
the PV modules or cables has
dropped.
Is there any dust accumulation
in the exhaust openings and air
intake vent opening?
1 The internal temperature
is rising. Are the exhaust
openings and air intake vent
opening clogged with dust?
2 The present date and time is
not set.

Action
With sufficient irradiation, the display will appear
automatically. (There is no display during night hours.)
Set the DC disconnector at the bottom of the PV
inverter to ON ( | ).
Even if the DC disconnector is an externally
attached type, set it to ON ( | ).
If the unit has recovered from the blackout,
power generation will automatically start up
about 1 minute later.
(If irradiation levels are insufficient at that time,
some time may be required before power
generation can start up.)
Set the externally attached AC disconnector or GFCI to ON.
After about 1 minute, power generation will automatically start
up. (If irradiation levels are insufficient at that time, some time
may be required before power generation can start up.)
Set the DC disconnector at the bottom of the PV
inverter to OFF ( ) and check that the LCD screen is
extinguished. Then set the DC disconnector to ON(
| ) again and restart the PV inverter. After restarting,
check that the error lamp is extinguished and that
there is no error display. Then proceed with use.
Please contact the sales office for inspection
and/or repair of the PV modules and cables.
For details, follow the steps on p.58 to perform the action.
Operation will start up automatically when the
insulation resistance has returned to normal.
If the insulation resistance does not return to
normal, contact the sales office from which the
PV inverter was purchased for advice.
Press the [ENTER] button, and when CLEAN
FILTER disappears, clean the air intake vent and
exhaust opening areas as described on p.56.
For details, follow the steps on p.58 to perform
the action.
