F. Sidewalls/Surrounds
• Adjacent combustible sidewalls must be located
a minimum of 12 in. (305 mm) from the fireplace
opening.
• Combustible or non-combustible mantel legs, surrounds
and stub walls may be constructed per Figure 11.10.
