Use the TIME/VALUE dial to turn Channel Link "On."

Press [PLAY (DISPLAY)] to return to the original display
screen.

Press [FADER/MUTE] so that the TR (track) indicator is lit.

Press the track 7 or 8 [STATUS] button so that the indicator
lights orange.

Assign the playback tracks to the recording tracks. Hold down
the track 7 or 8 [STATUS] button, and press the [SELECT]
buttons of track channels 1–6. [SELECT] will blink.

Assign the effect return to the recording tracks. Hold down the
track 7 or 8 [STATUS] button, and press the input channel
[EFFECT 1 RTN] button. [EFFECT 1 RTN] will blink.

With these settings, tracks 1–6 and the effect return can be
monitored on track channels 7 and 8.
