APS-C CMOS Sensor
The 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS Sensor adopted by the NX200 increases
the dynamic range from the previous 8.8 EV to 10.5 EV and improves noise
level from previous cameras. There has been an increase of 5dB, based
on ISO800. In the spirit of the NX, AWB and color reproduction place an
emphasis on recording actual images correctly, not simply manipulating
images to look pretty. The philosophy of NX quality is "realism" or efficiently
reproducing the functions of a recording device.
With the NX200, Samsung has further increased the model's resolution
to record the memories of users correctly, recording more information,
reducing noise, and recording original signals. But in order to record the
actual feelings of the person in the scene, the NX200 doesn't create or
use any artificial tones or colors.
