now used in the receiver to allow more light to enter the sensor, and the
Light Transmittance of the micro lens has been improved to increase the
sensitivity of the sensor.
The advantage of mirrorless cameras is that users can have DSLR
functions with a smaller camera. Compact digital cameras use a very
small sensor, so that the size and weight are minimized, but this type of
camera produces noisy photos and focusing problems that significantly
limit expression. Similarly, Micro Four Thirds cameras have a smaller sensor
than a medium DSLR so these cameras cannot truly be considered DSLR-
quality cameras.
Effective pixels of a camera determine the quality and size of a photo. First-
class DSLRs offer over 20 megapixels because it is the pixel numbers that
determine the quality of a photo. A higher pixel number requires a higher
engine speed. This is because it is necessary to increase the buffer
speed to store large photo files - just as a big car cannot be powered
by a small engine.
