FILLING OIL (for Precision Blend
System models)
This engine uses the YAMAHA PRECISION
BLEND SYSTEM, which provides superior
lubrication by ensuring the proper oil ratio
for all operating conditions. No fuel premix-
ing is needed (except during break-in/run-
ning-ins). Simply pour gasoline into the fuel
tank and oil into the oil tank.
Convenient indicator segments indicate the
status of the oil supply. Refer to "OIL
LEVEL INDICATOR" for details.
To fill the engine oil into the engine oil tank,
proceed as follows:

Do not add gasoline (Petrol) into the oil
tank. Fire or explosion could result.
Engine oil tank capacity:
Refer to "SPECIFICATIONS", page 4-1.

When remote oil tank is used
1) Pour the engine oil into the remote oil
tank.
2) Turn the main switch to "ON" to feed oil
automatically from the remote oil tank

to the engine oil tank by the YAMAHA
PRECISION BLEND SYSTEM.
3) After the engine oil tank has filled, turn
the main switch to "OFF" to cancel the
operation of the oil level warning sys-
tem.
4) Operate the engine normally.
