Test the brake at slow speed when starting out to make
sure it is working properly. If the brake does not provide
proper braking performance, inspect the brake for wear.
WARNING
Do not operate the machine if you find any problem
with the brake. You could lose braking ability, which
could lead to an accident.
CAUTION :
Be sure the brake lever end should not project out over
the handlebar end for preventing brake lever damage
when the machine is placed on its side.

V-BELT

Open the shroud and remove the V-belt guard.
Check the V-belt for wear and damage. Replace if neces-
sary.
Wear limit 1:
805-001

Be sure the V-belt guard is tightened securely
before operating the machine.

Never run the engine without the V-belt or with the
V-belt guard removed.
