9. Phone book

You can use your radio as a contact manager, because you can save
multiple phone numbers as well as text, such as an E-mail address, a
street address or a note under a name in the phone book.
You can enter the phone book by pressing
standby mode.

Saving names and numbers

You can save at least 255 names (each of which can have up to 16
characters) and phone numbers in the phone book and up to 5 numbers
and up to 2 text notes under a name. You may be able to save more than
255 names and numbers if your radio has enough memory available for
this. The amount of available memory depends on the amount of data
(e.g., calendar notes) saved in the radio's memory.
Each number has to be assigned a number type when it is saved in the
phone book. The first number saved under a name is automatically set as
the name's default number.
When you select a name from the phone book, e.g. to make a call or to
send a message, the default number is used unless you select another
number. The default number is indicated by a box around the number
type indicator (e.g.
).
Note: You can call a saved number only if it has been assigned
the correct number type.
