Fast menu

Some of the radio's frequently-used menu functions have been
compiled in the fast menu, which is accessed with
includes the following items:
• Scanning on or Scanning off
• Network md. or Direct mode
• Profiles General prof. and
• The first five situation indicators if these have been predefined in
your radio's memory (see Status msgs. (Menu 1) on page 62).
Note that some fast menu functions can be successfully activated only
when the radio is in network mode and in the network coverage area.

Activating a fast menu item

1. In standby mode, press

Voice feedback

You can get information about some of the operations in your radio as
voice feedback without looking at the display. You can select whether
voice feedback is on or off separately for each profile (see Profiles (Menu
5) on page 72).
When voice feedback is activated, the radio plays voice feedback in the
following situations:
• When you turn the group selector, the radio plays the index number
of the group (network mode) or channel (direct mode).
• When you use the back key, the radio plays the talk group index
number or "Home" in network mode and the talk group index name
(A, B, C) in direct mode.
• When you scroll in the fast menu with
