Handset:
When "Downloading
Phonebook" is displayed:
Go to step 6.
When "Select Mode" menu is
displayed:
{r}: Select "Auto" or "Manual".

"Auto": Download all entries from
the mobile phone automatically.
"Manual": Copy the entries you
selected. Some mobile phone may
copy all entries automatically.
L "Select Mode" menu is
displayed only when the mobile
phone supports PBAP (Phone
Book Access Profile) for
Bluetooth connection.
L The entries being copied are
displayed on the handset.

Wait until "Completed" is
displayed.
L You can continue copying other
entries if necessary.

Note:
L Some copied entries may have
characters which do not exist in the
character table (page 59). These
characters can be displayed but
cannot be entered when editing an
entry.
L The unit does not support some
characters. If a copied entry includes
those characters, they are replaced
with other available characters or "@".
L If you receive a call while copying
phonebook entries, the copying
procedure stops. Try again after
finishing the call.

Changing the Bluetooth PIN
(Personal Identification Number)
The PIN is used to register a mobile
phone. The default PIN is "0000". To
prevent unauthorised access to this
product, we recommend that you
change the PIN and keep it confidential.
Important:
L Please make note of your new PIN.
The unit does not reveal the PIN to
you. If you forget your PIN, see page
68.

Using a Bluetooth
wireless headset
(optional)
By registering a Bluetooth headset to a
handset, you can have a hands-free
conversation wirelessly.
Important:
L 1 headset can be registered to the
handset. Only one Bluetooth headset
can be connected to the handset at a
time.
L For best performance, we
recommend using a Bluetooth
headset within 1 m of the handset. A
headset can communicate with the
handset within a range of
approximately 10 m.
