Talk

You can use the Google Talk instant messaging app to have text, voice, and video chats with friends.
Adding a friend to your friend list
1.
Tap [Talk] in the Home screen or app list.
2.
Select the desired account if necessary.
3.
Tap .
4.
Enter the email address of the friend then tap [DONE].

When your friend accepts the invitation, the friend is added to your friend list.
Starting a chat
1.
Tap [Talk] in the Home screen or app list.
2.
Select a friend in the friend list.
3.
To send a text message:

Enter a message in the text box and then tap
To start a voice chat:

Tap .
Note

Certain chat options may not be available depending on the type of device the other person is using,
network conditions, etc.
Reading a message
When a message is received,
can open the notifications panel and tap the new message notification, or follow the instructions below.
