Turn on the [Mobile data] switch.

Turn on the [Set mobile data limit] checkbox and then tap [OK].

Tap the item next to [Data usage cycle] and change the cycle if necessary.

Drag the right edge of the orange bar up or down to set the threshold for displaying the data usage
warning.

Drag the right edge of the red bar up or down to set the data usage limit.
Enabling data roaming
When data roaming is enabled, you may be able to use another mobile network operator's network for data
connections. This can be useful when you are outside of the range of your operator's network. Note that
data transmission charges may apply, and some apps on your phone may use data connections without
notifying you. Contact the mobile network operator for more information.

From the Home screen, tap

Tap [More...] ® [Mobile networks].
3.
Turn on the [Data roaming] checkbox and then tap [OK].

Connecting to Wi-Fi networks

If your phone is within range of a Wi-Fi access point, such as a wireless router, you can access the Internet
wirelessly using your phone's Wi-Fi features. When your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi access point, your
phone uses the Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet (as opposed to using the mobile network). If your
phone disconnects from a Wi-Fi network, it will automatically connect to the mobile network.
Turning on Wi-Fi

From the Home screen, tap

Turn on the [Wi-Fi] switch.
Note
When Wi-Fi is turned on, the phone can continue to use its mobile data connection, but the phone
will use the Wi-Fi connection when it is available.
If you turn Wi-Fi off, the phone will automatically switch to the mobile data connection (if enabled).
In this case, note that data transmission charges may apply.
Connecting to a Wi-Fi network

From the Home screen, tap

Tap [Wi-Fi].
3.
Select a Wi-Fi network.
If the desired Wi-Fi network is not displayed, you may need to enter the network name (SSID). See
"Adding a Wi-Fi network manually" (page 26) for more information.
4.
Enter the password if you are connecting to a secure Wi-Fi network.
5.
Tap [Connect].
is displayed in the status bar when the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network and indicates
the approximate signal strength.
Note
After you connect to a Wi-Fi network, your phone will automatically connect to that network the next
time it is within range.
After you move out of range of a Wi-Fi network, it may take some time for the phone to re-connect
automatically once the phone is within range of that Wi-Fi network again.
Some Wi-Fi networks require you to access a web page or enter a user name and password in order
to access the network. Consult the network administrator for more information.
