Installation Instructions Plasma Display Fan Kit for Vertical Use TY-UPK42HV7 Model No. TY-UPK50HV7 Before commencing work, carefully read these Instructions and the Manual for the plasma display to ensure that fitting is performed correctly. (Please keep these instructions. You may need them when maintaining or moving.) -

Thank you very much for purchasing the Plasma Display Fan Kit for Vertical use. Installation work should only be carried out by a qualified technician. • If the unit is installed incorrectly, the display may fall down and personal injury may result. Precautions with regard to setting up WARNING Always have a qualified technician perform the installation. - Page 13 Components TY-UPK42HV7 (For TH-42PHD7) TY-UPK50HV7 (For TH-50PHD7) Fan mounting screw (M3) Lead clamper 1 (Only TY-UPK42HV7) Fixing screw (M5) Points to note during installation This optional fan kit is designed exclusively for vertical use with this display model. In order to ensure correct, problem-free operation of the Plasma Display, do not install the Display in any of the following places.
- Page 14 Attach the fan 1) Remove the rear cover from the display. Place the display facing downward on a clean blanket or the like, and follow the steps below. TH-42PHD7 Remove bolts and screws (a, b, c) from the display. Put the rear cover and removed bolts and screws to the side where they will not get lost.
- Page 15 3) Attach the connectors TH-42PHD7 Remove the short coupler Z32. Fan A Horizontal bar Secure the fan lead with the lead clamper Fan lead located to the left of Fan A. Secure the fan lead at position B with the supplied lead clamper.

Position the display so that the power switch is located at the bottom. For TY-WK42PV1 Installation procedure Top holes Push the upper insulating spacers on the display into the notches at the top of the wall-hanging Insulating spacer bracket until they are hooked in, then lower the display into place.
