Add Toner Indicator

Replacing the Toner Cartridge

Open the Front Door.

Open the cartridge holder and pull out the

old toner cartridge.
With the tab of the toner cartridge facing

upward, shake the new cartridge well.
Lift up on the seal and then remove it.

NOTE
Remove the seal carefully. The toner could
discharge.
Once the seal has been removed, never turn the
cartridge upside down.
When the toner in the toner cartridge becomes low, this
indicator will flash. Copies will gradually become lighter
and when there is no more toner, this indicator will remain
on and copying will be stopped.

With toner supply port facing upward,
insert the cartridge into the cartridge
holder in the direction
cartridge.
Close the cartridge holder and close the
Front Door.
NOTE
Only use the toner cartridge designed specifically
for this copier. Failure to do so will result in
damage to the copier.
Toner Replenishing
If the image density is still light after replacing the
toner cartridge, operate the Toner Replenisher
function explained on page 22.
