By transmitting manually, you can speak with a remote user before transmitting
a document.

Load the documents face down in the document feeder.

Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone.

If desired, select any special features for the operation.

Dial the telephone number using the keypad, one-touch or speed dial.

Speak with the remote user. To begin the transmission, request that the
user send a fax ready tone.

When you hear the fax tones, press Start.

Canceling a Transmission

If you stop an active transmission to a single destination, the job is canceled.
See the " Cancel a Single Transmission " section on page 67.
If you stop an active broadcast or group transmission, the machine cancels
only the current transmission and continues to send to the remaining numbers.
To cancel the remaining numbers in the broadcast or group, see the " Cancel
a Pending Broadcast or Group Transmission " section on page 68.
Cancel a Single Transmission
If transmission is in progress:

Press Stop will cancel the transmission currently in progress.

Press Enter.
If fax job is in memory but not in progress:
1 Press Status repeatedly until the job is displayed.

Press Stop to cancel the displayed job.
3
Press Enter to confirm cancellation.
