To enter PS (Packet Switched) data account settings on the phone
Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Internet settings > Connect using:.

Scroll to a data account item and select Options > Create new.

Select PS data.

Select Name > Edit.

Enter a name for your data account and select OK.

Select APN > Edit.

Enter the APN (Access Point Name) you received from your service provider and
select OK.

Select Save to save the account.

Select the data account you created and select Save. You are now ready to use the
Internet.
To enter CS (Circuit Switched) data account settings on the phone

Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Internet settings > Connect using:.

Scroll to a data account item and select Options > Create new.

Select CS data.

Select Name > Edit.

Enter a name for your data account and select OK.

Select Phone number > Edit.

Enter the phone number you received from your service provider and select OK.

Select Username > Edit.

Enter the user name you received from your service provider and select OK.

Select Password > Edit.

Enter the password you received from your service provider and select OK.

Select Save to save the account.

Select the data account you created and select Save. You are now ready to use the
Internet.
Modem functionality
Your phone has a built-in modem. You can use it to connect a computer to your Internet
Service Provider (ISP) to browse the Internet or manage your email messages.
You need to have Sony Ericsson PC Suite installed on your computer.
Before starting
Before you set up your computer and start using the modem you need:
•
A GSM phone subscription that supports EDGE, GPRS or 3G.
•
A phone subscription that covers Internet browsing. If you are not sure whether you have
this, please contact your service provider.
Setting up Internet connections
You can establish an Internet connection through your phone using the following methods:

Setting up an Internet connection using Sony Ericsson PC Suite
Sony Ericsson PC Suite lets you access the Internet using a cable connection between
your phone and a computer. When you connect the two devices using an approved cable,
the How to connect wizard in the PC Suite guides you through the process. An Internet
connection is established automatically in one of three ways:
•
If there is an Internet data account under Internet settings that corresponds to your current
operator, the connection will be established automatically.
•
If there is no Internet data account under Internet settings that corresponds to your current
operator, the application creates a phone data account.
