    Getting started Assembly To remove the battery cover • Insert the tip of your finger or a thin object firmly into the opening on the side of the phone, between the phone and the battery cover. Then lift up the cover slowly. Do not use sharp objects that may damage parts of the phone.

If you do not want existing contacts saved on your memory card or SIM card to be synchronized, then you should import these contacts from the memory card or SIM card to your new phone before you set up the synchronization account.

    Use a handsfree device to listen to music. This consumes less battery than when you listen through the phone's loudspeakers. • Visit www.sonyericsson.com/support or go to the Sony Ericsson Support application in your phone for an extended User guide. Here you can also find a video on how to maximize the battery performance.

    Charging the battery The phone battery is partly charged when you buy the phone. It may take a few minutes before the battery icon appears on the screen when you connect the phone to a power source. You can still use your phone while it is charging. The battery will start to discharge a little after it is fully charged and then charges again after a certain time.

    Avoiding duplicate entries in your Phonebook If you synchronize your contacts with a new account or import contact information in other ways, you could end up with duplicate entries in your Phonebook. If this happens, you can join such duplicates to create a single entry. And if you join entries by mistake, you can separate them again later.

    Favorites You can mark a contact as a favorite for quick access. In the favorites view, a contact is represented by its picture.
