Grounding Instructions - Cable Direct
This appliance must b econnected toa grounded metal, permanent
wiring system, or anequipment grounding conductor must b erun
withthecircuit c onductors andbeconnected totheequipment
grounding terminal orlead on theappliance.

• The wiring may enter theopening fromeither s ide, r ear orthe
floor within theshaded a rea.
• Cut a 1-1/2" max. d ia.hole toadmit t heelectrical cable. T he hole
must b efreeofsharp edges, if thecabinet wailismetal, the
hole edge must b ecovered w itha bushing.
• Cable direct connections may pass through t hesame hole asthe
drain hose andhotwaterline,if convenient, if cabinet wailis
metal, thehole edge must b ecovered w itha bushing.
NOTE: Power c ords withplug must p ass through a separate
hole.
Electrical Connection to Dishwasher
Electrical connection isontheright frontofdishwasher.
• For cable direct connections thecable must b erouted asshown
inFigure E .Cable m ust e xtend a minimum o f24" from therear
wall.
• For power c ord connections, install a3-prong g rounding type
receptacle. The power-supply receptacle fortheappliance shall
beinstalled i na cabinet oronawailadjacent tothe
undercounter space inwhich theappliance istobeinstalled.
