STEP 131CONNECT POWER
SUPPLY
8kipthis stepIf equipped w ithpower cord.
Verifythat poweris turnedoff at the source.
• Remove junction box cover "A".
• Locate t hethreedishwasher wires, [ white, b lack andgreen)
withstripped e nds. i nsert dishwasher wires through t he
small h ole inthejunction b ox"g".
• Secure house w iring tothebottom ofthe junction box witha
strain relief " C".
• User wirenuts toconnect incoming ground t ogreen, white to
whiteandblack toblack "g".
• Replace junction b ox cover 'T'. Check t obesure thatwires
arenot p inched under t hecover.
WARNING
if house w iring isnot2-wirewith ground,
a ground m ust b eprovided bytheinstaller.
When house w iring isaluminum, besure to
useUL Listed anti-oxidant compound and
aluminum-to-copper connectors.

Locate t heOwner's M anual intheliterature package.
Read theOwner's M anual f oroperating i nstructions.
Check d oor opening a ndclosing, if door does notopen and
close f reelyor tends t ofail,check spring adjustments. See
Step1.
Check t obesure thatwiring issecure under t hedishwasher,
not p inched o rincontact withdoor s prings o rother
components. SeeStep 9.
Check d oor a lignment withtub.If door hitstub,level
dishwasher. SeeStep10.
Pulllower rackout,about h alfway.Check t obesureit does
not r ollback or forward on thedoor. i ftherackmoves, adjust
leveling l egs. S eeStep 10.
Check d oor a lignment withcabinet, if door h itscabinet,
reposition or relevel d ishwasher. SeeStep 10.
[] Verify water supply a nd drain lines arenotkinked orin
contact withother components. Contact withmotor o r
dishwasher frame could cause noise. SeeStep 8.
[] Turn onthesink hotwaterfaucet a ndverify water
temperature, incoming watertemperature must b ebetween
120°Fand150°F. A minimum of 120°F temperature i s
required f orbest w ash performance. See"Prepare Hot W ater
Line", page 5.
[] Add 2 quarts ofwater tothebottom ofthedishwasher to
lubricate t hepump s eal.
[] Turn onwatersupply. Check f orleaks. T ighten c onnections
ifneeded.
[] Remove protective filmifpresent from thecontrol panel and
door.
