ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
This dryer must be connected to a]nindividua]l bra]nchcircuit,
protected by the required time-dela]yfuses or circuit brea]kers.
A four or three-wire, single pha]se,120/240V or 120/208V,
60Hz,:30a]mpcircuit is required. If the electric supply does not
meet the a]bovespecifica]tions, t hen ca]lla]licensed electricia]n.
GROUNDING
INSTRUCTIONS
Thisdryer must be connected to a]grounded metal, perma]nent
wiring system, or a]nequipment-grounding conductor must
be run with the circuit conductors a]nd connected to the
equipment-grounding termina]l on the a]pplia]nce.

code requires that the new constructions
utilize a
4-wire connection to an electric dryer.
WARNING:
Only a 4-conductor
cord shall
be used when the appliance is installed in a location
where grounding
through
the neutral
conductor
is
prohibited. Grounding through the neutral is prohibited
for the new branch-circuit
installations,
mobile homes,
recreational
vehicles, and areas where
local codes
prohibit grounding through the neutral conduction.

4 #10 AWG minimum copper conductors or 120/240V 30A power supply
cord kit marked for use with dryers and provided with closed loop or
spade terminals with upturned ends (not supplied).
1.Turn off the circuit brea]ker(s)(30 a]mp)or remove the
dryer's circuit fuse a]t the electrica]l box,
2. Be sure the dryer cord is unplugged from the wa]ll
recepta]cle,
3. Removethe power cord cover Ioca]teda]tthe lower ba]ck.
4. Remove a]nd disca]rd ground stra]p. Keep the green
ground screw for step 7.
5. Insta]ll 3/4 in. UL recognized stra]in relief to power cord
entry hole. Bring power cord through stra]in relief.
6. Connect power cord a]sfollows:
A. Connect the 2 hot lines to the outer screws of
the termina]l block (ma]rked L1 a]nd L2).
B. Connect the neutra]l (white) line to the center of
the termina]l block (ma]rked N).
7. Atta]ch ground wire of power cord with the green
ground screw (hole a]bove stra]in relief bra]cket).Tighten
a]lltermina]l block screws (3)securely.
8. Properly secure power cord to stra]in relief.
9. Reinsta]llthe cover.
