C. Low FlameAdjustment
(Seefigure 11)
This applianceis shippedfrom the factorywith low and mediumflame
settings adjusted for use with natural gas. If further adjustment is
necessary, o r to readjustfor usewith LP,proceedas follows:
1. Lightburnerand set control knowfor lowflame•
2. Removecontrolknobfromvalve stem.
CAUTION:NEVERUSEA METALBLADETO PRYKNOBOFF.IF
KNOBCANNOTBE EASILYREMOVED,TUCKTHE FOLDSOF
A CLOTH DISHTOWELUNDER THE KNOB AND PULL THE
TOWELUPWARDWITH STEADY,EVENPRESSURE•
3. Insert a slender,thin-bladescrewdriver into the recessat centerof
valve stemand engagebladewith slot in adjustingscrew.
4. Turncenter stemadjustingscrewto set flame size.
•.. clockwiseto reduce
•., counterclockwise t o increase
5. Replacecontrolknobwhenadjustmentis completed,
Proper adjustmentwill producea stable, steadyblue flame of minimum
size,Thefinal adjustmentshouldbecheckedbyturningknobfrom highto
low severaltimeswithoutextinguishing the flame,
This adjustment,at lowsetting,will automaticallyprovidethe properflame
size at mediumsetting,

appearance of eachburner'sflameat the Hi and Lo settingsagainstfigure
12.If the flamesappeartoo large or too small, revieweachstep to make

Electrical power and gas must be turned off prior to
conversion.
If this appliancehas been convertedfor use with LP gas, each of the
following modificationsmust be performedto convert the unit back to
naturalgas.
A. Replaceall orificespuds
PerformSteps 1 through4 on page 6.
ForStep5: Locate the coloredbrassnaturalgasorificespudsthatwere
originallyinstalled inthis appliancebeforeitsconversion for usewith LP
gas. Observe the colorof eachof the spudsand notethe correctburner
locationfor eachspudas showninfigure 13.
CompleteSteps6 through9 on page 6 to completethe installation o f
naturalgas mainspudsin theircorrectlocations•
Savethe orificesremovedfrom the appliancefor future use. Theywill
be neededif this applianceis againconvertedfor usewith LP gas.
B. Invert cap in appliancepressure regulator.
(Seefigures9 and 10)
With the applianceinstalled the applianceregulatorshouldbe located
as shownin eitherfigure3 or figure4 (pages3 &4). Identifythe type of
appliance regulator and follow the instructions i n the appropriate
illustration.

Adjust low flame as instructedon page7 item C.
After StepsA, B and C havebeencompleted, c heckthe appearanceof
each burner'sflame at the Hi and Lo settings againstfigure 12. tf the
flames appear too large or too small, make sure all steps were
completedcorrectly.
