I M P O R T A N T S A F E G U A R D S IMPORTANT NOTE: To prevent the loss of clock and memory settings, always turn the radio off when installing or removing batteries and when plugging or unplugging the AC adaptor into or from the radio. - Page 5 O P E R A T I O N G U I D E ON/OFF USING THE 'POWER/STANDBY' BUTTON This method only works if the clock is set (see HOW TO SET THE CLOCK, below). Turn off the radio. After pressing the POWER/STANDBY button once, 'STANDBY' appears in the display.
