(Important) Precautions when handling
at the beach or near water.
Please follow these precautions while using this camera at the beach or
near water. Failing to do so can seriously damage the camera and may
void the warranty.
If lint, hair, sand or any other foreign material is present on the areas
shown in the photo (the inner side of the side door), water can leak into
the camera within a few seconds and cause permanent damage.

• Do not open or close the side door if your hands are wet or there are any
traces of sand on the camera.
• Sand and dust etc. will adhere to the camera by lodging in between the gap
around the side door when used in the following locations:
- Where sand is floating, such as in a body of water.
- Where there is a lot of sand or dust, such as at the beach or in a sand box etc.
. . Checks prior to use
• Before closing the side door (@), confirm that there are no foreign objects
(hair, lint, sand, dust, fluid, etc.) on part (@) colored red in the figure.
• Wipe with a dry, soft cloth if there is any liquid.
• Closing the side door with water droplets left on the camera may allow
water to enter and cause a malfunction.

After using this camera at the beach or near water,
please follow these instructions carefully.
• Ensure that there is enough remaining battery power and memory in the card.
• Securely close the side door

[LOCK] switch
• Press to close until you hear a "click".
• Slide the [LOCK] switch in the direction of the arrow.
• Lock the [LOCK] switch securely until the red part is no longer visible.
• We suggest cleaning the camera indoors. Your hands should be clean and
free of sand, salt water and sunscreen lotion.
• Do not open the side door until all external sand, salt water and foreign
material has been rinsed off the camera using fresh water. After rinsing
please follow the steps below:

Following use in salt water allow the camera to soak in a shallow
container of fresh water for about 10 minutes.

Dry the camera and allow it to stand upright on a clean dry cloth so any
residual water can drain. Some drainage is normal.
€) After the camera is allowed to dry naturally, please inspect the side door
to be sure no sand or foreign material is present. Clean as required.
About the waterproof/dustproof and anti-shock
performance of the camera

• This camera can be used underwater to a maximum depth of 12 m (40 feet)
for a maximum of 60 minutes.
• Do not leave the camera in extremely cold places where the temperature
will go below -10°C (14 OF).
• Do not leave the camera anywhere where the temperature may exceed
40°C (104 OF). This includes inside a locked car where it may be exposed
to direct sunlight.
·Supplied accessories are not waterproof (excluding hand strap).
• This camera should not be used in spas, hot tubs, natural hot springs or
anywhere the water temperature may reach high temperatures.
Please note: the waterproof integrity of this camera is not guaranteed if
the camera was subjected to impact as a result of being dropped. Any
damage caused by mishandling or misuse may
void your warranty.
