5. Following the 1, 2, 3, 4 sequence stamped into the heat sink, loosen the four captive screws (1)
that secure the heat sink to the system board.
6. Slide the heat sink to the left until it clears the base enclosure (2).
7. Remove the heat sink (3).
NOTE: The thermal material must be thoroughly cleaned from the surfaces of the heat sink and
processor each time the heat sink is removed. Replacement thermal material is included with heat
sink, processor, and system board spare part kits.
Reverse this procedure to install the fan and heat sink.
