Using the Fn function key

The following table describes the functions of Fn key combinations.

Function
Launch the program for locking the
computer.
Note: The combination is workable for
Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 without on
screen displays.
Launch the Power Manager program.
Note: The combination is not workable
for Windows 8 or Windows 8.1.
Put the computer into standby mode.
Notes: To return to normal operation,
do one of the following:
• For Windows XP , press the Fn key
on your ThinkPad computer.
• For Windows vista, Windows 7,
Windows 8, or Windows 8.1, press
any key.
• Launch the wireless network
application.
• For Windows 8 or Windows 8.1:
Launch Windows 8 or Windows 8.1

Airplane mode.
• Launch camera settings and
microphone mute button settings.
• For Windows 8 or Windows
8.1: Enable camera mute mode
or launch the Lenovo Settings
program.
Note: Only works with the ThinkPad
T400s series currently.
• Launch the presentation and display
scheme.
• For Windows 8 or Windows 8.1:
Launch Windows 8 or Windows 8.1

Open the Mouse Properties window.
Put the computer into hibernation
mode.
Note: To return to normal operation,
press the power button on the
keyboard of your ThinkPad computer
for several seconds.
FullScreen Magnifier
Note: The combination is not workable
for Windows 8 or Windows 8.1.
