Problem
Water runs out from under the
washing machine.
Conditioner is not drawn in,
the æ compartment for addi-
tives is full of water.
The washing is badly rumpled.
Washing is not spun thor-
oughly and water remains visi-
ble in the drum.
The END (Ende, Fin) light
flashes twice and at the same
time an acoustic signal sounds
twice.
The door cannot be opened
when the washing machine is
switched on.
The indicator lights START/
PAUSE (Start/Pause, Marche/
Pause) and DOOR (Tür, Porte)
come on.
Possible Cause
The threaded inlet hose fitting is not
watertight.
The outlet hose is not watertight.
The drain pump cover is not closed
properly.
Washing has been trapped in the
door.
The emergency drain hose is not con-
nected properly or is leaking.
The conditioner insert is not correctly
set into the additive compartment or
is clogged.
Probably too much washing was
loaded.
There is a kink in the outlet hose.
The maximum pump height (outlet
height 1m from the washing
machine's installation surface) has
been exceeded.
The drain pump is blocked.
Using a siphon connection: the
siphon is blocked.
Door is locked due to high water level
or high temperature.
Remedy
Screw the inlet hose in firmly.
Check the outlet hose and replace it,
if necessary.
Close the cover properly.
Stop the programme and free the
washing from the door. Start a new
programme.
Connect the emergency drain hose
properly (see Section "Emergency
Drain Procedure"). If the emergency
drain hose is leaking, call Customer
Service.
Clean the detergent drawer, adjust the
conditioner insert firmly.
Keep to the maximum loads (see the
Programme Tables). Select the EASY
IRON (Leichtbügeln, Facile à
Repasser) programme for easy-care
clothes.
Straighten the hose.
Contact Customer Service, who will
be able to provide an adaptor kit for
pump lifts greater than 1m as a spe-
cial accessory.
Switch off the machine and discon-
nect the mains plug. Clean the drain
pump.
Clean the siphon.
Wait until the wash programme has
ended, the DOOR (Tür, Porte) light
has gone off and the END (Ende, Fin)
light has come on.
If the door has to be opened:
Turn the programme knob to OFF
(Aus, Arrêt); turn the programme knob
to DRAIN (Pumpen, Vidange). Press
the START/PAUSE (Start/Pause,
Marche/Pause) button.
After the water has drained, the door
can be opened.
