Your Freehand has been
Emergency calls
The emergency services can be contacted
in the UK by dialling 999. You may also
dial 112, which is valid in any country
that is a member of the European
Community.
You may not be able to make an
emergency call in certain situations:
If there is a power cut or if the phone
is disconnected from the mains.
If the telephone line is disconnected.
If there is a fault on the line from
your phone or on the network.
If your Freehand is connected to a PBX
(switchboard), you may have to dial an
access number before 999 to contact the
emergency services.
Some switchboards cannot dial out
during a power failure.
