12. Phone and Battery Care
- Keep in mind that a new battery's full performance is achieved only after two or three times of
complete charging and discharging cycles!
- The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times but it will eventually wear out. When
the operating time (talk-time and stand-by time) is noticeably shorter than normal, The symptom means
the time to buy a new battery.
- Do not attempt to open the casing on your phone or its battery.
- Use only the supplied or an approved replacement antenna.
Unauthorized antennas, modifications or attachments could damage the phone and may violate
regulations governing use of mobile phones or FCC regulations.
- Always keep SIM card out of children's reach.
- Use your phone battery only for its intended purpose, and never use any charger or battery which is
damaged or worn out.
- Never allow the battery terminals to short circuit, as this can cause damage to the battery or
connecting object. (a short circuit can occur if a metallic object such as a coin, clip or pen causes direct
connection between the + and – terminals of the battery)
Therefore, always take adequate precautions when carrying a spare battery in a purse or pocket.
- Battery must be recycled or disposed properly, and must not be disposed of in municipal waste. Never
dispose batteries in a fire.
- When you unplug your phone from its charger, grasp and pull the plug, not the power cord.
- For good operation times, discharge a Li-ion battery from time to time by leaving your phone switched
on until it turns itself off.
- Do not drop, knock or shake it.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean it. Wipe it with a soft
cloth slightly dampened in a mild soap-and-water solution.
