    How much telephone equipment can you have in your home? Each item is marked (usually on the base) with a REN number. For example, your RP7510 is REN 1 and most BT phones are REN 1. The REN numbers of all your equipment, added up, must not exceed 4.

    Setting up: follow steps 1-7 Step 1: plug into the mains • Plug the adaptor lead into the back of the machine (be sure to push the plug fully in). Set the volume control to mid-position. Then plug the adaptor into the wall socket and switch on.

    Telephone use What do the buttons do? REDIAL Press REDIAL to call the last number you dialled (useful if it was engaged). MUTE Hold down MUTE if you don't want the other person to hear you (but you can still hear them).
