Audience
The target audience for this reference guide consists of:

Administrators that are responsible for configuring and managing a NetDefendOS installation.
•
Administrators that are responsible for troubleshooting a NetDefendOS installation.
This guide assumes that the reader is familiar with NetDefendOS and understands the fundamentals
of IP network security.
Notation
The following notation is used throughout this reference guide when specifying the parameters of a
log message:
