IMPORTANT: DO NOT force frozen chute
controls. If frozen, take to warm place until
controls are free.
Moving The Unit With the Engine Off
(Figure 13)
If the unit needs to be moved with the engine
off, it can be pushed for short distances with
the transmission bypassed.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT Tow the machine.
TRANSMISSION DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.
To bypass the transmission, pull the bypass
rod outward (Figure 13). Push bypass rod in
before starting or operating engine.
Pull bypass rod out to move unit short
distances with engine stopped. Push
bypass rod in before starting or operating
engine.

IMPORTANT: Before starting or operating
ensure that the bypass rod is pushed fully
into the machine. Failure to close the bypass
rod may result in damage to the transmission.

Heated Handles

Turn the heated handles

switch to the ON (1)
position to activate. Turn
the switch to the OFF (2)
position to deactivate.

Scraper Blade
The scraper blade allows better contact with
the surface being cleared. It also prevents
damage to the housing from normal usage.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT allow scraper blade to
wear too far or auger/impeller housing will
become damaged.
Skid Shoes
The skid shoes control the distance between
the scraper blade and the ground. Adjust skid
shoes equally to keep blade level with the
ground. Refer to Pre-Start on page 21 for
recommended settings.
Drift Cutters
(Figure 14)
Drift cutters break up snow drifts that are
taller than the auger housing and direct the
snow into the auger. Store the drift cutters on
the auger housing when not in use. Install
them as shown below so they are taller than
the snow to be cleared.
