hpshowdisk

Synopsis

hpshowdisk -v | -h | -n | -I <idx> | -p| -d | -s

Description

The hpshowdisk utility helps with the identification of the disks recognized by the system. It
can be very useful in situations where the system has lots of disks, typically on SAN architectures.
In addition to the device name and size, it includes information about disk controller, SAN
storage devices WWID identifications, and the SAN logical disks LUN numbers.
The hpshowdisk utility is internally used by SSTK scripts to display the "available disks" menu
during installations. In addition, it is externally used with the RDP product, which by default it
calls the RDP "showdisk" application; SSTK scripts use the -n option to avoid this external
application call.
