The internal keyboard provides either 85 keys or
87 keys, an embedded numeric overlay,
dedicated cursor control keys,
keys. The keyboard is compatible with the IBM
enhanced keyboard. Refer to Chapter 5,
Keyboard, for details.
The integrated Touch Pad and control buttons in
the palm rest allow control of the on-screen
pointer and support functions such as the
scrolling of windows.
The integrated AccuPoint control stick located in
the center of the keyboard allows control of the
on-screen pointer.
Parallel printer or other parallel device (ECP
compatible).
The integrated serial port provides RS-232C
compatibility through the internal 16550UART
controller.
The analog VGA port provides support for VESA
DDC2B compatible functions.
The computer supports multiple Universal Serial
Bus ports that comply with the USB 2.0 standard.
This port allows the connection of an optional
Advanced Port Replicator III Plus as described
within the
Options
section.
This port allows high-speed data transfer to take
place between the computer and external
devices such as digital video cameras.
The serial infrared port is compatible with
Infrared Data Association (IrDA 1.1) standards.
It enables cableless 4 Mbps, 1.152 Mbps,
115.2 kbps, 57.6 kbps, 38.4 kbps, 19.2 kbps or
9.6 kbps data transfer with IrDA 1.1 compatible
external devices.
