[Local TWAIN Scan/Network TWAIN Scan]
The bizhub 211/163 serve as standard Local TWAIN Scanners
when connected directly to a PC via USB. They can scan origi-
nals up to A3 size. In addition, Network TWAIN Scan is available
with the optional Network Interface Card NC-503 or Image Con-
troller IC-206.

You can scan a graphical or text document and attach it directly to
an e-mail message as a TIFF or PDF file. This provides a quick, easy,
and inexpensive way to send information to clients or colleagues.

Network Printing Function

[Standard-equipped GDI Printer Function]
Documents up to A3 size can be
output from a PC. The bizhub 211

prints 21 pages/min* and the bizhub

163 at 16 pages/min* at 300dpi.
[USB Interface Compatible as Standard Equipment]
E ven without a network, this interface allows direct PC connection.
The bizhub 211/163 are compatible with high-speed USB 2.0.
[Network Printer]
By mounting the optional Network Interface Card NC-503 or
Image Controller IC-206, the bizhub 211/163 can be used as
network printers (10Base-T/100Base-TX supported).

Enables PCL6 printer functions to further boost productivity with
an output speed of 21 pages/min*
(bizhub 163) at 600 dpi. The high-speed RIP Once printing func-
tion lets you print out even large-volume documents quickly
when making multiple sets of printouts.

Scanned data can be sent directly to an FTP server and stored in
a directory that you specify. You can convert paper documents to
digital data just as simply as you would make copies, so that
information can be easily shared over the network.

LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), a protocol for access-
ing information from a network directory database, greatly simplifies
Scan to E-Mail by allowing the bizhub 211/163 to search the LDAP
server for the recipient's e-mail address. Up to 100 addresses can be
searched at a time for retrieval and registration.

This function lets you print 2, 4, 6, 9, or 16 pages onto a single
sheet to dramatically reduce the amount of paper used.

[Watermark]
Watermarks such as "CONFIDENTIAL" are automatically added
to pages as they print. In addition to the seven preset types, up to
30 watermark types, each with a maximum of 20 characters, can
be registered.
