COLOR ELECTRONIC VIEWFINDER
SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT
Note 1: The back light (fluorescent tube) is driven by a high voltage AC
power supply. Therefore, do not touch the back light holder to
avoid electrical shock.
Note 2: When replacing the LCD unit, be careful to prevent damages
caused by static electricity.
Note 3: Set the VF BRIGHT (Menu display) to the center.
Note 4: As the PANEL CLOSE switch (FP-91 flexible board S96) is
attached to the cabinet (R), this cabinet must be attached when
performing adjustments.
[Adjusting connector]
Most of the measuring points for adjusting the viewfinder system
are concentrated in CN2904 of the VC-217 board.
Connect the Measuring Instruments via the CPC-8 jig (J-6082-388-A).
The following table shows the Pin No. and signal name of CN2904.

1. VCO Adjustment (DD-123 board)

Set the VCO free-run frequency. If deviated, the EVF screen will be
blurred.

1) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 01.
2) Check the GND level of the oscilloscope.
3) Select page: D, address: 75, change the data and set the VCO
output voltage (A) to the specified value.
4) Press the PAUSE button of the adjustment remote commander.
5) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 00.
